Hilda Hidalgo was the wife of the leader of the Sacred Snakes crime syndicate; Javier Hidalgo, as well as the mother of Manuela Hidalgo.
History
In 1991, Hilda became stricken with a rare cancerous disease, found only in the Amparo region. In an attempt to cure her of the disease, Javier purchased the a t-virus variant from the Umbrella Corporation hoping it would cure her, after the recommendation of an Umbrella researcher. Initially after administering the virus, much of Hilda's cancer was destroyed, however, the effects of the virus gradually took over Hilda's body and she did not regain conciousness despite being physically well. By May 1991 after continued injections of the variant, the virus had gone out of control within her body, causing her to mutate into an indescribable monster.
In 2002, Javier unleashed the monstrous Hilda into the nearby Mixcoatl village after Manuela managed to run away from Javier's compound. As a result, Hilda virtually destroyed the village, with much of its residents becoming food for her. Later, she was unleashed against Leon S. Kennedy and Jack Krauser, who killed the creature. Just before dying, the monster form of Hilda somehow regained its memory, its eyes changing into a more human form before shedding a tear over Hilda's daughter, Manuela.
Attributes
In her mutated state, Hilda is extremely capable of survival in the water, but remains very capable on land. Her legs are extremely powerful, enabling her to jump great heights and distances. Somehow, Hilda was able to retain her human memories and was still able to recognise the voices of her daughter and husband.
Hilda 1st Form
This is the form when Hilda is moving in water. Under this form, she is able to attack by grabbing and throwing rocks out of the water. In both forms, she is also able to launch spears from a section of her body.
Hilda 2nd Form
The ground form of Hilda. Due to extreme anger, part of her skin turns red as a reflection of her emotion. Once the protective covering on her head and neck was broken down, part of her brain was exposed. In this form, she can spew an acidic poison from her mouth which damages anything it touches.
Just before her death, her eyes noticably changed color from slitted blue-white eyes to dark brown eyes. Due to this, as well as the retention of some of her human memories, it is believed that the virus did not ravage her brain as much as it did to her body.
