History
Developed after the observation of the Grave Digger in Raccoon City, the Gulp Worm was a prototype-stage B.O.W. developed by the Umbrella Corporation on Rockfort Island by manipulating and improving the genetic structure of earthworm DNA and then administering the t-virus. The prototype was utilized as a practice opponent for the B.O.W. Countermeasure Force trainees. The worm spends a majority of its life underground before emerging and attacking prey by engulfing it whole.
Attributes
Gulp Worms normally dwell underground, and only arise when they detect the smell of prey and move in to attack. Due to their strong digestive organs, they are able devour their prey whole. This is it's main characteristic apart from its enormous size increase. Its maw is large enough to swallow an adult human whole. 4
Etymology
The Gulp Worm's name is derived from its main ability to "gulp" its prey whole due to its advanced digestive system and wide mouth.
