George Hamilton was a surgeon in Raccoon City who worked at Raccoon General Hospital.
History
A cool, calm, collected and naturally active individual with a skill for quickly gaining the trust of others, George was well-suited to his occupation as a surgeon. At some point, he began conducting virus research. He was also skilled as a chemist, being able to produce medicinal supplies with his personal medical kit. Originally married for many years, George ended up in a divorce, putting extra pressure on his already demanding life with the collapse of his family. He was also formerly a student at Raccoon University, where he was an alumnus of Peter Jenkins.
On September 24, 1998, George's life was radically changed when he was caught in the t-virus outbreak that had struck the city. During the incident, George worked together with numerous other survivors in their group efforts to escape the doomed city. One notable survivor was Cindy Lennox, a young waitress who he later developed a cordial relationship with.
George's viral research led Peter Jenkins to contact George by leaving a note in the temporary shelter in the R.P.D. parking garage for him to come to the university. The purpose was to reveal the truth behind the incident to George and show him "Daylight", the only cure against the t-virus. Although Peter was killed prior to his meeting with George, he left a note urging him to escape the city with samples of Daylight.
