Dr. Klein was the father of Lott Klein and Lily Klein and a researcher for the Umbrella Corporation. His role was as the Director of the Genetic Engineering Research Department on Sheena Island.
History
Klein was one of the lead figures in the "Hypnos" project which resulted in the creation of the Hypnos Gene and the development of the new Tyrant type B.O.W., the Hypnos-T Type. He was a close companion of the commander of the island, Vincent Goldman. Klein was heavily influential in his son's life, making him believe that all of the human subjects kidnapped by Umbrella were of an inferior race to the residents of the island and employees of the company. 1
On November 24, 1998, Klein fell victim to Vincent Goldman's madness and was infected with the t-virus. Along with his wife, Klein mutated into a Zombie in front of his son's eyes after shouting for his daughter to escape. 2
