Dorothy Lester was the wife of Dr. Albert Lester, director of the private hospital built in the Arklay Mountains.
History
In her later life, Dorothy had been suffering from a terminal illness. In an effort to cure her, Al acquired samples of a particular strain of the t-virus (T-JCCC203) in the hopes that it would save her life. In attendance with fellow physician Dr. Alan Eldert, Lester injected the t-virus into his wife. At first, the virus provided positive results and went some way to recovering Dorothy. Unfortunately, the virus began to overrun her body and generated an intense appetite within her that soon escalated beyond the doctors' control. Her body was eventually consumed and became part of a large plant-like organism.
In his grief, Al Lester began to believe that this plant was the reincarnated of his dead wife. Over time, "Dorothy" began using its vast vines to engulf the abandoned hospital, while Lester worked to bring her fresh food in the form of lone hikers and campers that he had lured back to the hospital.
