The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic handgun that appears in BIOHAZARD GUN SURVIVOR as the "Handgun B".
Info
- Produced in the Czech Republic (initially Czechoslovakia) by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod (CZUB), the CZ 75 is widely considered one of the best "Wonder Nine" handguns ever produced despite its relative obscurity compared to better known pistols like the Beretta 92F or SIG P226.
- The CZ 75 is a short-recoil operated pistol utilizing a Browning-style locking barrel and a slide that runs along the inside of the frame, an unusual feature that results in greater accuracy than many comparable models. Most variants use a double-stacked high-capacity magazine and feature an external hammer, a double-action/single-action trigger, and a manual thumb safety.
- The CZ 75 has spawned numerous variants, including the CZ 85B, CZ 75 P-07 DUTY, CZ 2075 RAMI, and the CZ 75 SP-01. Additionally, the pantent used by CZUB to register the design is not acknowledged internationally, resulting in dozens of modified clones such as the EAA Witness, Jericho 941, Bren Ten, and Sphinx AT 2000.
Trivia
- The CZ 75 variant in GUN SURVIVOR is an early variant known to most collectors as the "Pre-B" Model which came after the first variant (known as the "Short-Railed" or "First-Model" CZ 75), but before the current-production CZ 75B. The BIOHAZARD GUN SURVIVOR OFFICIAL GUIDEBOOK mistakenly lists it as being a "First-Model" CZ 75.
