Bruce McGivern was a covert operative belonging to the United States Strategic Command (U.S.STRATCOM), Bruce was assigned to the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team following the Raccoon City incident in the U.S. Government's formal attempt to hunt down and destroy the organization and it's assets. Belying his wise-cracking demeanor, Bruce is a man of great virtue with a strong sense of justice and morality, skilled in the use of many forms of firearms.
History
In September 2002, Bruce himself would be a key player in Umbrella's downfall. Following the hijacking of Umbrella's disguised cruise liner, the Spencer Rain, Bruce was deployed in order to apprehend Morpheus D. Duvall, the terrorist behind the cruiser's hijacking. With the help of Chinese agent Fong Ling, Bruce successfully eliminated Morpheus and stopped the numerous missiles loaded with the t-virus that would have caused a nationwide Raccoon City in both the U.S. and China. The Spencer Rain was also destroyed, along with Umbrella's abandoned Atlantic Waste Disposal Facility and Seabed Laboratory.
Following the Spencer Rain mission, the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team has been disbanded, and Bruce's current status is unknown but it is likely he was transferred to a different unit.
