Shortly after Biohazard: The Operations was released, Capcom released the final mission based action shooter in the form of The Episodes. Unlike The Operations, The Episodes returns to its roots by having the missions based once again on Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.
Synopsis
The Episodes is the direct sequel to Resident Evil: The Missions and Biohazard: The Stories. As with these games, players control Jill Valentine in various mini missions, this time outside the R.P.D and on the streets of Raccoon City.
Development History
The Episodes follows the same formula of the previous games, and features the same pre-rendered backgrounds from Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. The Episodes also at the time of writing is the last of these type of games to be released by Capcom Mobile, with more ambitious projects being projected.
As with The Stories, this was never released outside of Japan, and very little is known of exact details. Players once again control Jill Valentine and like previous outings have to rescue civilians from particular perils in the city.
Canonicity
As with the other games in the series, any new files would be deemed canon as this title is Capcom developed. No story is present with this game, just random mini-missions that serve as gameplay mechanics. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis overrides the events seen in The Episodes.
