Alexia Ashford used these ants in her experiments with the T-Veronica virus. Injecting them with the virus led to hugely increased growth and hostility. The infected ants began attacking whatever prey they could find with dangerous pincers. These children of Alexia have built a colony inside of the Alexia-Pod which grows beneath the control room. Alexia is their queen.
