History

Following the outbreak, many of the surrounding creatures around the Arklay facility were infected with the virus, causing adverse changes and reactions. The virus did not increase the actual size of the snake but caused the species to gain the ability to multiply at an incredible speed. On top of this, two variants were produced; a green-skinned non-venomous version and a red-skinned version with highly potent venom. 2

Attributes

While there weren't any adverse changes to the Adder in terms of appearance in comparison to the "Yawn" subject, its viciousness and attacking ability grew immensely and its venom grew even more potent. On top of this, it gained the potential to spread the t-Virus along with its venom. It senses prey through detection of body heat and attacks in groups, thriving near locations with water supplies and preferring damp places. They have also been known to inhabit trees. They have faster reflexes than a normal snake as a result of the virus and will jump towards its prey on sight. 3

While the green variation will only cause flesh wounds, the red variation is twice as dangerous due to the potent venom it releases. Both however are likely to transmit the t-Virus.
